Today in class we just have a bunch of plastic chairs lying around and we sit in them, so there’s no real organization of the chairs or to where we’re facing. This means of assemblage opens up possiblities of being able to have multiple conversations at the same time. And I don’t like it.
On a lighter note, I’m installing my drawings tomorrow. Hurray!
I started talking to one of the professors in charge and I’m feeling so much better. She updated the calendar posted up at school and also talked about a meeting with the builders on Monday. Hurray. According to the calendar, I don’t have class Monday-Wednesday, but I have to go to the meeting and other classes. Hopefully the builders will take care of the construction I need to make because I don’t know how to do it… so I don’t have to come to class. Haha.
-I am stressed with the miscommunication that occurs NOW especially with the show coming up with such a tight schedule. Materials were supposed to be in wednesday, but school ordered it late. ALSO they didn’t tell us when they needed our orders to be put in, so they’re making people with extra installations pay for their own stuff — this should be covered by the school, but with the lack of communication between faculty with each other and with their students, I didn’t know this. So now I have to pay.
-Not only do I have to pay, but because of another miscommunication, I was given the impression that when the supplies arrived on Friday, everybody was going to come together and bring them upstairs on Saturday. This wasn’t the case. Supplies were brought upstairs Friday, a couple hours after I had left, and now I have no idea where the materials I ordered went. I tried calling the girl who ordered her supplies with me, but her phone was disconnected.. so I sent an email, hoping to get a response with where my materials went.
-I feel so retarded in that on Tuesday, we were told that that was the last meeting time and that all announcements would be given via email or this online message board. Now, I usually get emails whenever there are updates to the message board. Unfortunately for this class I wasn’t receiving any and was completely confused and lost when it came to the scheduling which was outlined in the message board. Fuck me in the ear.
So I’m currently reading this funny David Sedaris book called Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim. So far, so good. Random as hell, but super funny. I just wish I could read faster. It’s 5am right now and I want to read some more, but I should sleep.
I’ve decided to make a list that I continually add to about things I like/ things I don’t like/ things I notice/ and everything in between.
-I don’t like it when people don’t signal when they drive or when you’re signalling to switch lanes and the fucker in that lane speeds up from their steady 65mph to 75.
-I like cartalks on the way home, and going on endless detours to have more time for the conversation.
-I like Jamie Lidell (jamielidell.com) and Sam Sparro (imeem his “21st Century Life” and his cover of Estelle’s “American Boy”) and overall good music.
-Speaking of good music, I like Air Conditioned Lounge in Santa Monica because of their music and drink menu (martinis, beer, and wine), Soul Sessions in Chinatown, and Michelle of Flock Shop in Chinatown as well. She remembers me!
-I like making friends with people who work in places I really enjoy such as Michelle from Flock Shop in Chinatown (flockshop.com — CUTE ASS SHIT), and Heidi from Bistro Bouchees (this AMAZING sliders place) in Long Beach. But she quit rockstar style according to new waitress friend Summer. Funny how I like to make friends, but still I’m a bitch and hate every one.
-Hate is a strong word.
-I think it’s funny how a little creative cropping with pictures in profiles TOTALLY makes somebody so attractive. Unfortunately, they only look attractive in that ONE picture.
-I love driving etiquette and good sushi especially at the same time. (I don’t know why I put those two together.) Too bad I didn’t have good sushi the other day in Long Beach. They opened up a new location for this Thai/sushi fushion restaurant called Bai Plu and I tried it out with Philup. I usually get their super good Thai food, but this time Philup and I decided to get sushi. Bad idea. It looked good, but like that hot guy in that one picture, it only has one thing going for it. Oh well… it has a great personality? I should’ve known better with the place looking so bourgeois, but it smelled like fish. Not the fresh kind, and not the business.
-Finally, I like tumblr now. It seems to be less abused as twitter. I’m conflicted about the imports though because twitter abuses are forwarded to tumblr. Oh well. Go social media.
pps, notice how my capitalization actually exists now?
two more weeks and the studios are taken down to make room for the show. one more month until graduation and the show and real life. i better pony up by then… and work as been a bitch lately. they gave me a new kid, but provided me with the wrong number and address. thahellllll.
